They said it was snowing yesterday night. As usual, me being all excited, ran out to check. It's weird that everyone's place was snowing but not mine.. What I had was just sleet, frozen raindrops.
Anyway, its Sar Chap Meh tonight, my first cold chilly Chinese New Year.

Japanese/Hokkien

Some Japanese words sound very much like other languages. For example, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean.. They are also very much similar to Minan Language, or rather the Hokkien dialect. Whatever people call it.

Today, I'm going to list out three examples of Hokkien words which you can see how similar they sound. They also have the same meaning.

Carriage, Cart
In Hokkien we say : Beh Chia
In Japanese : Ba Sya （馬車）
Of course if you compare the spelling, its not going to look very similar but if you just listen and say it. As you can see, car in Hokkien is Chia, in Japanese its almost similar, Sya.

Square, Quadrilateral
In Hokkien : Si Kak
Japanese : Shi Ka Ku （四角）
I think that's obvious

Dance (Noun)
Hokkien : Bu
Japanese : Bu (as like 歌舞伎）

I was starving in the train on my way back from school, so I thought to myself.. Maybe I should stop by the store and grab something there for lunch. And so I went..

While I was walking in the store, this sudden urge of buying and cooking strikes me. So all right, instead of buying lunch, I bought fresh veggies, fish, beef, chicken... quite enough for the whole month's consumption! I felt stupid after paying for it, the things don't even last that long! Maximum a week or so? But again, you can't blame a girl for wanting to learn how to cook?

On my way back, the devils in my mind had again asked "Don't you need something from the drug store? (Watson type of store, only bigger with lots more stuff)" Well.. yeah, I have the whole list left at home. Went back, wasn't hungry anymore by then, full with the stupidity of mine. But I couldn't resist the fresh bought Tuna and Salmon, I had to finish every last piece of it. While doing that, I watched Scorpion King by The Rock. Some old movie? But I enjoyed it, dramatic, yes.. But at least! at least! the girl didn't die pushing him away from the deadly arrow, instead he saved her! Okay, that's just one part of it.. Movie with happy ending.

in the drug store..
One of the guy workers there just appeared everywhere I went. I felt weird, kinda like I was stealing from them. But couldn't care much anyway.. I like buying toiletries. This time, much better, just got 2 or 3 items extra that aren't in the list. I got home with a big bag of things, feeling happy. I feel happy just by looking at all the things I got :)

I went online a bit and I felt like buying things again, I gotta admit, I have a little problem today.. Can't help it, so I started looking around the house see what else do I really NEED. I found 2! I really need those and...Yay! Let's go to the shop and get it!!

Walking around the store, filling up my basket was enjoyable. They sell everything there, from household needs to stationary to whatever you name it, they have it. There was this lady walking from the street to the store with me, and in the store, she appeared quite a number of times at the same part and when I went to the counter to pay for the basket which was already full, she was just behind me. What a coincidence! She looked kinda scary with her lioness dirty blonde/gold hair.. Let's not go further into it. I took quite awhile to pick up those items in my basket, I can be very picky and frickle minded when it comes to choosing stuff. By the time I stopped myself, forced and dragged myself to the counter, I've already filled up the basket with more than enough nonsense. I paid for my 15items, and there she was with 4 items. What took her so long? Why is she always around?!

Care less I said and walked my way home, happily.

Well.. I like to swim, and I like riding a bicycle, working out at the gym (but I never said that I'm not lazy)

Call up some friends, make them come over. Or just go out and chill. Not really a club-goer

Yes! The excitement!

8. When's the perfect time to have a bf/gf?
When one's lonely? haha nahh, its not about the perfect time, but the perfect one.

9. If you could date any celebrity, who would it be?
I don't have anyone particular in mind, but I would say the influential Angelina Jolie, isn't she the coolest? I think both sexes could totally fall for her

10. What are you doing this weekend?
I just had a quiet weekend, next weekend should be the same. But if I were to be in Penang, I'm sure I'll be tired and exhausted after the weekend.

11. What is your favourite restaurant?
I'm not picky, I'm fine with anything, as long as they play good music, not too crowded around, I get services that I pay for.. then I'm fine.

12. Have you ever hugged someone?
Yes.

13. Ever kissed someone you weren't attracted to?
Yes. Urrghh!

The infatuated kind? Hmm no one in particular

His body, then his neck

Beach, I love the sun! But not the sand, but again.. what's beach without the sand?

So far.. my high school years. its kinda hard not to break the rules and all, but its all the fun that I had through my school years.

Christmas 08'

Christmas came sooner than I even realized it, this year's Christmas we spent it over at Kayin's just like the year before. I went out coffee with Jill and Anna while waiting for the girls to finish work, as usual we got there pretty late (after 12). But well at least we didn't miss the countdown, just like every year before we did it in the car again.. This time, we had conference call, that means alot of shouting into each other's phone and out of the car windows.


There wasn't any drinks left when we got there, after lingering around for a bit, we got into May's car to the nearest store.

Celebrating Ee-Von's birthday over the net

We can still celebrate someone's birthday no matter how far away that person is right?

Ok, so here goes. It was Von's birthday, and that very night where all the shops had already closed or probably half-closed, the sister Anna and me went cake-hunting. May, Kris, Wern joined us after their work, we went almost every shop till finally, the half-closed Coffee Bean gave us one small part of the big cake after begging the manager to sell it to us. Ah I know..
